The requirements study is conducted to determine the exact needs of the client and the project. If the project is in an existing building, K2 Audio conducts a site survey to inspect and analyze the existing space. During this visit, we verify any special equipment and/or equipment location requirements. We will also meet with the Owner/staff to determine how the facility is used, the staff’s technical skill level, and any possible plans for the future use of the space.
We review different options for presentation and display systems, audio and video sources, control requirements, and any other special needs. The information gathered during the interviews is then combined with the physical information gathered during the site survey to develop a conceptual design. This conceptual design is then presented to the Owner for approval. Any Owner/staff feedback is then incorporated into the final conceptual design upon which the design documents are created.
